Here at Growing Forward we are looking to recruit a volunteer treasurer to support us in managing our Community Interest Company finances.
The role of Treasurer is to help shape Growing Forward’s strategic direction as well as ensure that it maintains a sound financial state and operates within the law and Growing Forward’s policies and procedures.
This is a “hands-on” position and will require an understanding of accounting and book keeping. The Treasurer oversees and presents budgets, accounts and financial statements to the Board every six weeks. The Board of Directors are all volunteers. There is a requirement to attend the AGM and very occasional planning/strategy meetings.
You will receive excellent support from the Growing Forward board members as well as from voluntary and community sector networks.
We are not yet able to meet volunteers’ expenses currently, but we hope to be able to do so in the future when funding permits
At the moment the role is home-based with online meetings but we are moving towards face-to-face meetings and delivery sessions.
