UnLtd
UnLtd finds, funds and supports social entrepreneurs – enterprising people with solutions that change our society for the better. We were succesful in receiving the Starting Up award from UnLtd in October 2022 and further development funding in July 2023.
GreenSpace
GreenSpace is the Green Social Prescribing programme for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. It looks to improve the mental health and wellbeing of communities hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, by connecting local people with nature-based activities and green community projects and initiatives in the city and county. Growing Forward is a trusted GreenSpace provider. We have been awarded funds from GreenSpace to support the set up of our Social and Therapeutic Horticulture garden space and delivery of our service.
National Lottery Community Fund
The National Lottery Awards for All funding aims to support projects that build strong relationships in and across communities, improve places and spaces and help more people to reach their potential. We successfully received a grant via the community fund in January 2022.
Castle Cavendish
Castle Cavendish is a social impact company. Their mission is to improve people’s lives in Nottingham by supporting organisations to grow and develop in an ethical and sustainable way. We received a grant from Castle Cavendish in 2023 to support continued delivery of our service.
The Thomas Farr Charity
The Thomas Farr Charity is a grant making trust providing grants in the areas of education, youth, health and the elderly. In 2022 and 2023 we were successful in our application to the charity for two small grants.
J.N. Derbyshire Trust
J. N. Derbyshire Trust offers grants to community and voluntary groups for charitable projects that support the people of Nottinghamshire. We received a grant in March 2024 to support our core costs.
Friends, family and supporters
Our families, friends and supporters have provided donations of money, equipment, time and encouragement during the set up and delivery of Growing Forward. For Carley’s epic Land’s End to John O’Groats cycling fundraiser in September 2021, 134 donors raised a huge £4546. Further funds were raised via Crowdfunder in summer 2023 to support continued delivery of our service. Thank you everyone!
